It’s Rowen’s 1/2 birthday!
I can’t believe Rowen is 6 months old! TIME IS FLYING! On one hand it makes me sad knowing she’s growing up so fast, on the other hand it has been amazing watching her grow and learn the last 6 months. Everyone told us it goes by fast… but you don’t truly understand until your baby is 6 months old and you’re questioning where the time went! I want to share what a typical day in the life looks like for Rowen at 6 months, and some of the biggest changes that have recently taken place.

Rowen has changed a lot the last month! She is now 16.2 lbs and 27 in long! Although she’s only done it a couple times, she has started rocking on her hands and knees. She started purees last month and will start real solid food this month! She can now sit unassisted! We call it her pooping position… haha She loves to suck on her toes and when she’s having fun she loves to scream. She got 3 shots at her 6 month checkup and was pretty fussy for a couple days after. Other than that, she is a very happy baby and loves to hangout with us.
baby items we are loving right now
1. high chair
We started Rowen on purees last month (5 months) and are starting real solid food this month! A high chair is definitely necessary when starting purees or real food! I recommend the one tagged above. It grows with your child and is easy to clean and move around!
2. rattles
Rowen has just now taken an interest to rattles. She loves to shake them, throw them, and hit her other toys with them.
3. foam play mat
This foam mat is nice because you can take it everywhere! You can take a couple pieces if you are going to be in a smaller area or the whole thing! We love to bring it outside when we want to play in the grass.
4. stain remover
A MUST! This stain remover has gotten everthing from Bradley’s beer to Rowen’s newborn poop. I don’t know how it does it, but it works.
5. activity bouncer
Rowen LOVES to play in this bouncer. I think it’s her favorite things to do during the day. It is also nice for me because I can set her in it and do a couple things around the house while she plays.
As always, all opinions and text are my own.
