It’s been a while since I’ve done a life update so I figured I should do one now! As you’ve seen this week, Bradley and I have been in Disney World with my family. We were dying to go somewhere and decided last minute to join my fam on their trip to Disney World. Well, we are halfway joining them because we aren’t technically staying at the same Disney hotel, but we are here at the same time… so same thing.
So what’s happening with the Pickett’s??? Well if you follow me on Instagram I’m a pretty open book, but I wanted to share everything in one post.
Bradley and I have been in Birmingham for about 2 months now and we are LOVING it. I think this move has been really good for me personally, pushing me outside of my comfort zone and forcing me to meet new people. It was definitely scary at first, but Bradley and I have met some really amazing people here already. Not to mention all of his coworkers are here so we’ve done something with one of them almost every weekend.
Bradley is thriving. He’s always been a happy person, but since moving here he seems to be more fulfilled. He is loving his new job responsibilities and is actually excited to get up to go to work every morning. He is still flying their new airplane, but I honestly see that slowing down as he gets more involved in the office because he is enjoying it so much.
It was hard moving away from family, but we’ve seen both sides a at least twice a month since we moved here, so it doesn’t feel too different. I’m trying to convince my parent’s to move here in a couple of years… but we will see what happens!
As you’ve probably seen, Bradley and I started a YouTube channel and that has been SO FUN! (subscribe here!!!) I am really loving vlogging. I will always have my blog and Instagram, but I see our YouTube becoming a big part of SMS in the future.
Now for the thing I know you came here for. OUR HOUSE. We haven’t really made any progress on it, other than changing our bathroom cabinets to green and adding a couple of lights here and there. They told us our house would probably be done next August and that they would break ground the beginning of the year. I am beyond ready to get settled and to get connected in that community. Unfortunately, I don’t have any big updates on it right now… but when I do I promise I will let you know!
