Wedding Series #6 – the Bachelorette Party Details

So I told you in the last wedding series post about how to plan the best bachelorette party (you can find that here), that I was planning a bachelorette party for my bff. Well this past weekend we were able to go and I want to share all of the details with you!

Where We Stayed

We stayed at a house about a 5 min walk to the beach. It is called the Retreat at 30a and it was beautiful. It has 3 big rooms, 1 bunk room, and 3.5 bathrooms, so all 10 of us had plenty of space. You can find the Airbnb listing here.

It was in the perfect spot close to the beach and restaurants! We were able to walk to Blue Mountain Beach everyday! It was very nice being able to walk down and not have to worry about anyone having to drive and find parking. The walk is very easy and you also pass a really cute ice cream and donut shop called Blue Mountain Beach Creamery on the way!

The Beach

We went to Santa Rosa Beach in Florida. If you’ve never been to the gulf coast you need to go. I would say it’s the closest thing we have to being in the Bahamas or Turks. The water is crystal clear blue, the sand is bright white and soft, and the weather is usually pretty good. While we were there it was 80 degrees and sunny everyday.

Where We Ate

We ate at a very good restaurant our one night out called Chiringo. It had a mixture of seafood and Mexican food. Everything that is fried there is fried in a gluten free batter so our gluten-free bride-to-be was very excited about that.

What Games We Played

I think we would all agree that the most fun game we played was “the cucumber challenge”. All you need are cucumbers for every person and knives. All you have to do is carve the shape of a penis into the cucumber and everyone votes at the end on who’s is best. It was HILARIOUS. I don’t think we ever stopped laughing. The other really fun game was drinking Jenga. As you pull blocks you get fun activities like “take a shot” or “pick someone to take a shot”.

We had such a great time at the beach and we hope to go back. I LOVED the area and would definitely stay at that house again. If you are planning a bachelorette and have questions about going to 30a please leave a comment below or DM me on Instagram.

As always, all opinions and text are my own.

Stay Sweet!
